EGA rolling ladders are designed to provide a safe and stable platform for employees to stand on while performing tasks at high levels. Our ladders are equipped with features such as non-slip treads, handrails, and locking mechanisms to help prevent falls and other accidents. However, the user of the ladder can determine whether or not the rolling ladder will be in good condition and safe to use. It is important to use rolling ladders properly and follow all safety and maintenance guidelines in order to ensure their effectiveness. It is also crucial to know how to select a rolling ladder. All of our ladders and products meet OSHA requirements. It is always a good idea to know what are OSHA’s requirements for rolling ladders, and make sure to buy OSHA compliant products.
Rolling Ladders Inspection & Maintenance Tips
Inspecting and maintaining a rolling ladder helps keep you and other employees safe as well as getting the most use out of the rolling ladder. We recommend inspecting your rolling ladder once a month for regularly used ladders and before each use for occasionally used ladders at a minimum.
Inspect the rolling ladder before use and remove from service if:
-
- It is bent or damaged
- Broken welds
- Parts are missing (crutch tips, casters, springs, steps, etc.)
- Parts or fasteners are loose
- Rocks or wobbles on the floor
- Working parts do not operate
- Joints are not secure
If you notice any of the things above or that a rolling ladder is damaged, be sure to mark the ladder with “DO NOT USE” and notify the manufacturer on what to next. All of EGA’s rolling ladders will have a safety placard with safety tips, information, and our contact information. If your ladder is missing a safety label, please contact us.

Is there a mineral solution or some sort of solution that I can use to clean the wheels of our industrial push ladder at our retail store?
Would like to be able to clean them with something without removing the wheels if possible. Just a little spray-spray, wipe-wipe☺️
You can use a basic soap and water solution or just a general purpose cleaner would work too
