Fixed Vertical & Cage Ladders (MFC & MFV – SERIES)

Designed to meet or exceed all known building codes, an EGA fixed cage ladder provide easy access to roofs and platforms while also providing safety. Available with or without the safety cage addition, our vertical fixed ladders can hold up 300 lbs. in weight and are compliant with fixed ladder OSHA standards.  Fixed ladders without a cage are available up to 20 ft. Fixed ladders over 20 ft. must have a cage. Currently, the maximum height we are manufacturing is 22 ft.

When working on high platforms and rooftops, providing a safe environment is essential, which is why EGA Products aims to exceed all OSHA requirements by providing fixed ladders that are expertly manufactured to minimize slippage and increase durability.

Add a security panel to your fixed ladder for extra safety.  The 6′ security panel will fit on caged and non-caged ladders and the 8′ security panel will only fit on non-caged ladders. Security panels and security gates will only fit EGA fixed vertical ladders and cannot be added to other existing ladders of other brands.

Choosing a Fixed Ladder

Match the height of the wall/floor to walk-off point (in feet) to the EGA #. Example: The wall is 16 ft. high, you will need a MFV16 or MFC16 ladder. For odd sized heights (15, 17, 19, etc.) please fill out a quote form.

Fixed Cage Ladder Features

• Each fixed cage ladder features a walk-thru handrail that extends 42 inches above the top rung, guiding workers up and down the steps
• The cage begins seven feet from the ground and extends to the top of the ladder
• Each cage is flared at bottom for easy access
• 300 lbs. Capacity
• OSHA Compliant
• Brackets are 6″ to wall
• Rungs are spaced 12″ vertically
• Standard gray enamel paint. Custom can be different colors or galvanized – standard is steel
• 1″ diameter wall rungs (24” width) are included for superior durability or upgrade to traction tread rungs
• To prevent unauthorized access, we can provide a swivel gate cage bottom or a security panel that lays over the rungs

Note that fixed cage ladders over 24′ require a personal fall arrest system to meet OSHA standard 1910.28 making the ladder not OSHA compliant until it has a personal fall arrest system. EGA does not supply personal fall arrest systems.
